“In January this year our Managing Director Jim
Dickens sadly passed away aged 56. Jim first entered the
industry in the seventies as a salesman with Galliford Roadstone
Ltd during which time he was responsible for extending the
Companies activities into the South of the UK. In 1997 Jim was
instrumental in the management buyout from the Galliford Group
and the creation of GRS Roadstone Ltd, finally assuming the role
of managing director in 2001. During Jim's tenure he oversaw the
development and expansion of the GRS business, including the
creation of several Joint venture companies and the rapid
growth of our Bagging business, all of which have
placed GRS as a major aggregate and services provider to the construction
industry.
Jim had many friends and colleagues throughout the industry and he will
be sorely missed by all.” |
