Optimising the recovery and reuse of materials
GRS Operations delivers integrated quarrying, secondary aggregate processing and recycling operations that support our Circularity Solved mission.
Where facilities exist, we take in unwanted construction, demolition and excavation waste for washing and reprocessing to produce quality aggregates for reuse in construction. In other locations we partner with businesses to process by-products from china clay mining and energy-from-waste to create secondary aggregates that are blended with primary materials to create certified construction aggregates.
Material that cannot be turned into aggregate (such as subsoils, clays and chalk) is reused in remediation schemes so land can be prepared for development or restored to agriculture or nature conservation. In all cases, materials are put to good use and nothing is wasted.
